Re: Retro Racing in Melbourne

Well, there are at least 2 Retro cars down there.

RacerX and Jack can have a bit of fun together.

Re: WSMCR-Ingleburn..

Had a little play on the track yesterday, with some different cars (Scaley, Slot.it, Flexi, Aussie Retro) and found it to be a nice track to run on. A couple of little bumps here and there, but they will settle in with time. I was able to get my Warmack AR car around white in 5.6ish, and blue around...

Yep, swings and roundabouts.

Just don't yell at me when I'm marshalling.

Re: Marshalling. A Personal Point of View.

Yep, definitely agree that main priority is to get the track clear first, then make sure you don't take anyone else out putting the car/s back on. But it is very frustrating if you are the first inocent car affected by someone else's de-slot, then one of the first picked up, and last of 4 to get put...

Re: Marshalling. A Personal Point of View.

Don't think I really agree with penalties. That tends to get the half interested or less serious guys to say "stuff it" and you don't see them again. You may say that we don't really need those types, but we do. At some stage, those guys could become more serious, get better, and become th...

Re: Marshalling. A Personal Point of View.

Yeah, I say to drivers "if you don't like the way I marshal, don't come off on my corner" and I drive the same, that if I think there is a marshal that takes too long, I try not to come off on their corner. Sounds like a nice plan, but seems all too often that some other bugger comes off t...

Re: Marshalling. A Personal Point of View.

It sure is an art, but simple logic and basic understanding of what's going on can help make marshalling easier. Simple logic says to me that if a de-slotted car causes another car/or cars to de-slot, then the innocent car/s should be put back on first, and the car that caused the incident goes back...

Re: Round 3 HSC CanAm 09

Talking about 6pm for the next one, seeing as so many are turning up.

Last Saturday night we started about 7:30ish, and the final completed about 11:30ish I think.
Must admit that I didn't really check the time, but it was late.

Re: Marshalling. A Personal Point of View.

Yep, there is definitely a need to spell it out to everyone on the night that if you race, you have to marshal the next heat, and if you make the semis, you're expected to stick around for the main, either as a driver or marshal. It's dissappointing that so many lose interest in the event when they ...

Re: Round 3 HSC CanAm 09

Yeah, same again from me. A great night of slot cars with great people, and great report Stoo. Fox deserved to be in the final, and Wayne was gracious and good sporting enough to stand down to allow Mark to step in, and he proved the point by running a tough second place behind Cody. I think we have...

Re: Interesting Track on eBay

The layout is a dead ringer for our Luddenham track, only in 8 lanes. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v59/slotbaker/Slot%20Cars/track-ebay-mar09-250387332084.jpg http://ssme-slotcars.freepgs.com/Images/trk03b.jpg Pics are from opposite directions, but I think you could see the similarity. Re: Pointscore / Championship ??!!

Seeing as HSC are allocating points to each round, I figured it worthwhile to tabulate them so anyone can see what's happening. I've done this on my own initiative, and wasn't aware that there was any talk about posting it on the website. So, maybe we can get a consensus on Saturday night to see if ...

Only restriction that I'm aware of, is that the controller must not add any voltage, in any way to the track.

Re: New Fox Chassis

Nice frame chadly. Looks like you will have no trouble building the retro frames. I'm pretty sure that Mark hasn't used pivots in this frame, and has relied of rattle movement through the body mounting (& floating pin tubes), and torsion flex through the main frame, but I sure hope that Mark wil...
