Hi All,

Finally getting around to do a few reports and first off the rank is the 2021 Retro CanAm Australia Day Classic which unfortunately will be the last.

Nine entries showed for the event including James who has been quiet on the Retro scene for the past couple of years.

QUALIFYING

Darryl showed us the quick way around with a PB just outside the 4.8's

RACE 1

A procession of James followed by Wizard (in his first Retro race) followed by Joe and then Roland.

Wizard and Joe gave James a good run and at the end of the third James and Wizard were on the same lap and Joe only 1 back.

James then just pulled away to spread-eagle the field and win comfortably.

RACE 2

As you can see from the race sheet this was a real cracker of a race with myself being the early leader then being replaced by by Cody and then Stoo and then Darryl who led at the end of the 6th Bracket.

At this point Darryl, Stoo and Cody were all on 199 with myself 1 lap adrift and Charles a further 4 back - it was going to be hot although Stoo having Black and Yellow to run and the remaining having 2 fast lanes each it was going to be tough for him.

Cody put the after burners on to score 35 on Blue and take the lead by a lap over Darryl and to then prove the point went on to smash 36 laps on White to seal the deal by 2 laps with myself 2 laps further back for the podium. Charles and Stoo finished 2 laps back with Charles just getting over Stoo by about a second.

Very good racing.

What a cracker race.
Sorry I could not make it but spent the long long weekend at Nelson Bay to
celebrate my birthday with friends.
Great report as always Mark.
I await future reports especially the SRC Round 1 report
Only 4 Retro races left at Hornsby guys hope to see a few more turn up before it closes.

Thanks Mark,,,,great report as usual. .I was very pleased with my P.B. a great way to end the last A.D.C. for me. and that race is going to be one,I will remember as one of my best and most enjoyable,,,a big thanks to all who was there
