Post by Mark Fox »

Hi All,

Here is a revised calendar which includes the three (3) SRC Rounds to be held at Luddenham on the SSME Club Track (NOT at HSC as per the original calendar).

Just curious.. :?

Which direction will we be racing?
-Normal for SSME = opposite to Hornsby (need to reverse wiring), or
-Reverse for SSME = same as Hornsby (no need to reverse wiring)

I will bring adaptors for controller plugs if anyone needs them.

Good question but I do not have any part of the organisation - who decides?
SlotBaker wrote:-Reverse for SSME = same as Hornsby (no need to reverse wiring)
Yes Yes Yes is my choice as we don't need to do anything - changing the lead wires on the cars is a real hassle - I don't think we needed to change them last time we raced on SSME track so we must have been going in reverse to normal.

In any event lets go with no changing of the wire and run reverse to the track's 'normal' direction.

Thanks Steve I will need one for sure - if you could provide a layout of the adaptor it would be good as I will eventually make my own.

As it looks like I might actually be able to make it to a round of the SRC FINALLY,..

PLEASE !!,.. Can we NOT run in Reverse direction at Luddenham !!??

It would be SO Nice to have a race on that track (now that it has been re-furbished), in the Correct Direction !!

So are you suggesting we run (IN Reverse at HSC??), on the Big Track???
Sounds like an Awful idea to me.

I must say,.. I'm Not a 'Fan' of running in the Reverse direction on ANY tracks.

Hi Gang
As guests, I feel we should run anyway the guys from Luddenham want to. It is not a big deal to reverse the wires.
Run the race in the direction the track was designed to run.
My 2 cents is in.

I don't think there will be any current Luddenham guys racing (hope I'm wrong), but I think it would be up to Ron to say.
It is a nice track to run the right direction.

Re the track direction - don't really care apart from having to change the wires - as I said it is not my call or even close to my call - just let us know in good time.

I guess we leave the running of the night up to the race director.

Dunno. Ron or James???
That's one of the reasons I asked the question.
Also curious to know who is prepping the track.
Last time I was there (18mths ago), it had been cleaned dry, and there was no conditioning on it, all but a few dabs of glue on the entry to the turns.
Hopefully, things will be better on the night.
