Retro Nats 18.09.2010

Post by Koford1 »

This event is on next Saturday Nite at HSC.

Can we have a timetable/race format/confirmation of bodies to be used on the Can Am cars sooner than later.

Are we expecting a Lot of Entries ??

I guess, as an Old Phart from the Past,..whatever happened to 2 Minute Heats, 3 Minute Semi's and 5 Minute Mains ???

Just wondering! :?:

To make it "truely retro" it would be good to see the old "reparcharge"system used!

Are there any written rules for the F1?
If yes... where can they be found?

As far as I can see Steve,..No,..no written rules anywhere that I am aware of.

Apart from what was discussed in This thread; http://forum.ascra.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=204

As Noted, Smaller Front and Rear Wheel/Tyre combo's are allowed, when compared to the Other Retro classes and the Chassis Width, is the Wider IRRA spec, with the 'Front End Extensions' as mentioned under the D3 Rules section 2H,...

I guess, as only the 'Usual Suspects' up here have been running them, it wasn't previously a Problem,..but that said, a Set of Rules Really Should have been assembled to provide some Clarity for our Interstate Retro Friends,.. :D

So,..Any Questions,..Just Ask,...

Just thought I would mention the fact that there Is/Will be about 2 or 3 'Loaner' F1 cars available, in case anyone attending the Nat's for CanAm, but without an F1 and Would like to have a run.

I have My older car, plus that thing of Troy's, (If I manage to actually fit a Motor that Works) and HSC have atleast 1 to offer.

Just 'post' here, or let Wayne or James know.

There could also be a couple of Spare CanAm cars, depending on whether I manage to fit another motor to my Older Car.

Hey Geoff !!,.....I think THIS time,..your previous comments Re the 'National' title accorded this event are perhaps more Accurate This time round!!
As it doesn't look like we will have any interstate attendees.

A bit of a shame I guess, but there Has been a Lot of Traveling and Racing this year and Times are Tight.

Anyway,..It does appear we may atleast have a pretty reasonable number turning up for the event, which is Great!! :D ,..so I guess,..See Ya All there !!
