Please post whatever you have.

Stoo posted some shots of Group C cars in a previous thread but more is good.

is a Toyota GT1 a group C?

on the matter, is an Audi R8C (rather than an stock R8) a group C or an LMP?
Petrol is for cleaning parts
Alcohol is for drinking
Nitro is for racing
Slotcars are for going VERY quick!

i could have run a bmw v12 or an audi r8 but the RULES STIPULATE group c

Erik, Thats right, it's Hornsby decision. The Toyota was owned by a 12 year old boy, Declan. Who built the car and painted the body on his own. He paid for this with money he saved from doing a milk run. When he entered this great looking car, I knew it was'nt a group c. As race director i could not say no. This does'nt mean the rules are open just that we at Hornsby Raceway have a heart.

Yes,..as Noted in My Race Report, the decision to let Declan race was taken by Wayne and James at HSC and the rest of the drivers at the event.

Declan has been a keen Scalextric racer and has occasionally joined us and raced with us on our Retro evenings.

For his age and experience, he is doing pretty well and is a nice kid.

The Toyota, (for his First Serious attempt at a Racing Scale Model slot car), was Extremely Good and although the car was Not in the kind of Race Ready preparation I would be happy with, certain aspects of the car made it Rather interesting to drive,..to the point, where I was in some ways annoyed that it Wasn't, as it Could have proven to be quite a Weapon, if Well set up.

BUT, considering he just started with the Basic 'Kit' and did pretty much ALL of the work himself!,..it was an effort Worthy of both applause and the chance to Race, as Many other Far more experienced racers neither built their own car or painted it,..so as stated before,..Well Done Declan !!

A Very Good Decision, 'On the Day',.. :)

Cheers
