Well a couple of days after the Winter Solstice saw a very chilly evening for this round which attracted 9 entries for both classes along with a couple of observers in Wayne Bramble and Greg Erskine. Also great to have Stevo and Stumpy join us again for a great night of racing on a well prepped track.
As always excellent onion, sausage, bacon and egg sangers from the BBQ courtesy of Toni kept us going strong.
The track was super quick - in practice I turned a 4.173 with my Retro!!! First car into the 4.1's by my reckoning.
Retro
Ran a Round - Robin for this one.
David, Charles and myself were all in the mix for 4 brackets with the lead being shared a little. Charles faded in the 5th bracket on Red to leave Dave and I tied on 200 laps with Dave - having finished his run on 241 saying to me "don't let the pressure get to you" - well it did and so Dave takes the race with me 2nd and Charles 3rd just beating Troy on the same lap total.

Heat 1
David spread the field to take the lead followed by Steve, Stumpy and Gregg.

Heat 2
After a narrow loss in the previous SRC #4 Charles attacked this race with a sense of a man on a mission and proceeded to lead all the way to win by 4 laps over Darryl and set fast times on all lanes in the process. Not sure if his lap 280 total is a new record but I will let Troy work it out for us.
Final positions were 1-5 in order from the 2nd heat followed by the 1st heat participants.
