Dale led all the way with a typical (for him) fine drive followed by Darryl, myself and Wayne W who mixed it up a little early on until settling into final positions B5 while Ron anchored 5th spot.

A very fast and close race with Troy and Joe finishing on the same lap in that order about 3 seconds apart. Gregg finished a good 3rd but was certainly helped by John's DNF in the final bracket whilst Andrew had major issues in B4 which saw any hope for him disappear.

Well everybody except Gregg had a go in the lead and when the dust settled it was Troy over Darryl by a lap with Gregg about 3 seconds behind in 3rd.

One lap back was Wayne and so the top 4 were only a 2 lap spread.

I would rather forget this race - after a fantastic start where I lapped the field I started to de-slot all over the place in weird circumstance. I had more offs this night than for the rest of the year on this track and so finished last albeit only 4 laps off the lead. I could not see anything wrong with the car during lane change inspections but after the race I noticed that the cockpit was falling down and interfering with the lead wires and locking up the body movement - hence weird handling. Of course when I pick the car up and turn it over to have a look what could be wrong - the cockpit falls to it's proper position and all looks tickety-boo.

After all these years I found yet another way to lose a slot car race :(

Track was in great form again thanks to James and Joe and also a big thanks to the volunteer marshals.
Regards - Mark 8-)
