Re: ALM Raceway

The old Red Racer / Margate track from Brisbane. Word is the new owner has replaced the worn pieces and done extensive re-braiding.

IMHO this is one of the best sedan tracks in the country.

Re: DoSlot Brushless ESC's, Motor & Parts

I like this kit, and the idea behind it. - doslot1.jpg - If you're looking to get into brushless, but are a bit daunted by the cost of converting multiple cars here is your answer. Buy a Do Slot kit for one car and you only need buy motors for your other cars. Spare Velcro mounts and lead wire with ...

New Slotworx 110x motor mount kit for Plafit cars, commissioned by Werner of Ace Hobbies and available from Ace Hobbies later this week. Mount uses existing holes on any Plafit chassis with the 4 bolt mounting pattern. Werner tells me there are only a few Plafit chassis that don't have this bolt pat...

Re: Brushless slot car info & stuff

Some opinions from my own experimenting - You don't need anything bigger than an 110x motor. 1106 is a good size. Choose motor kv according to car weight and body configuration. 6000k and up are for light weight cars with some downforce, flexis and up. For model type cars, heavy with no downforce, p...

Re: Brushless Comes to Scale Car Racing

We're already on it Stoo. I have brackets for 110x motors for Slotworx and Plafit chassis. Plafit brackets come in 2 heights for chassis with and without a hole for the motor and they require a hole drilled for a second screw to stop the bracket turning. SW2.jpg Plafit chassis bracket has extra long...

Re: Windsor Slot Cars- Racing Schedule for 2024

OH, ok,... I guess I just 'assumed' (obviously incorrectly), that it would have been One or the Other, Not a 'Mix & Match' scenario as such. Not aware of it ever being 'Mixed' previously ;) :) It's perfectly legal under the rules, just nobody ever thought of doing it before. Doesn't mean it's r...

Re: ModelDrome. Great Service !!

40 amps at 12 volts = 480 watts

80 amps at 12 volts = 960 watts

Without a huge heatsink that board wouldn't last a millisecond.

Sounds like they're quoting 'Maximum Drain Current' off a data sheet. Means nothing without some mega cooling.

I eagerly wait to be proven wrong.

Re: Its not fair

I worked there for a while, and built the tracks. Never a manager though. The 'Hornsby Slot Cars' name probably came from Charles and Martins business when they took over from Peter Carolin. I think Martin may have held the lease on the building for some time. I left Sydney and moved to Brisbane a w...

Hmm,.. interesting!?,.. initially, the Race Report sheet was 'presented' inside a Scrollable Box, which is/was Good for NOT taking up too Much Space, Now it is being Shown 'In Full' !!??
Didn't I already say that.

Re: just some Text code Testing, Nothing to Read :)

You don't need to search for the files.

On the track PC go to the 'SETUP' tab in the software.

There's a button that will open a file manager window at the location where the files are being saved. Files are very small and are quick to copy so just grab the whole directory.

It won't look right in the editor but the format is right in the post. I've edited the css file so it shows all the text and you don't have to scroll. You might have to do a hard reset on your browser to show it - Ctrl + F5 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------...
