Used the chassis at Hornsby state titles 27 Lite.
Works well - standard length 4.625.

Re: Sad News, John Ward
Shocked to hear about John, I remember running against John in the 80's. He was one of the travelling wing car racers based out of Adelaide. Both John and Denis stayed with me in the early 90's for the Penrith Nationals. I had spoken to Denis a few weeks ago and he was telling how keen John was to c...

Re: TFC Avenger with Rib
I think what he is after is one that does not require notches at the front to get the diaplane right.
Something designed from day 1 for a shorter car not a longer car retrofitted.
But dont drop the longer car range we still need them

Re: Nats warm up race
I am not sure about fitting - if it came from america - it would be from the Northern Hemisphere - and due to south pole north pole thing it may want to run backwards - which would be a problem.

Re: Track Power Supplies
If you have 2 rivergates would it not be better to split, 1 on 4 lanes and 1 for the other 4. A common negative should not be an issue. I would never attempt to balance the power supplies as I expect the complexities to maintain and the impacts of drift in would be an ongoing problem. You could even...

Re: RIP Ian Bannister
Sorry to hear - was discussing this with Stuart less than 2 weeks ago - we spoke about the old times, racing 40 years ago with the likes of: Ian Bannister Donnie Elmore Steve Hutchesson Brian Hunt Brian Titherage Steve Slowe Jimmy Light When we were the kids. (myself, Wayne, Stuart and Mark) It was ...

Some thoughts -
Just some thoughts for people to consider - please give feedback on what you think 1. Sunset 27's after the Nats - 27 lights seems to be working well 2. Ban large hub wheels - max 500 dia rims - Russell spoke about this at the NATS and I think it is a good idea - gets back to less expensive tyres -...

Re: Wing 10 details
If it was me I would be looking at a sealed motor class - not sure Wing 10 is much better than box 12.
For entry level we need class's that remove motor building skills and dont have endless lists of choices.

Re: Wing Car warm up at Thunderdome
Cody,
If I was you I would run a short 513 chassis - Koford Peugeot cut maybe 132 by 28 - and possibly
a 64 arm - should be a bullet.
Me - 414Z at 4.375, body fox 138 by 30 - 84.5 koford arms and 85 PK's,
Hope that helps.

Re: Lack of recent Race Reports and Photos
I had a good time on sat night - the car I ran in Can Am was one the Tommy Flythe gave me, it is the current car trend the guys are building in Atlanta - the design originated from Joe Macintosh, I expect it is the same as what Ralph Thorne is using. The car is light but I think the issues that I ha...

Re: WING 10 AND 27 LITE @ KING WILLYS SATURDAY 25th AUGUST 2
I thought 500 dia arms were a fad that has ceased. Most that I saw seem to be still on 490 or 485. Al Chuck seemed to be building the best horsepower that I saw. Specs were, 37 deg arm - Kofrd can and endbell - 490 arms - I think air gap was around 502 t0 504. Gun chassis for 27 lites, redfox at 4.1...

I understand this is still on,
The only details I know of a on the MR website.
I would like 27 lites pushed to a later time so I can fly in on Saturday - but thats just me.
