Mini Cooper S
 

 

 BODY
- Only Kyosho Mini-Z BMW Mini Cooper S (MZ 108CS, CY, MB, MG, R, UR and UMB)  
  body sets are allowed to be used. 
- All body detail parts like mirrors, windscreen wipers, wings etc. have to be retained on
  the body at all times.
- The body holders (both sides and front) for the Kyosho display chassis can be
  removed and sanded. No other part of the body can be sanded, lightened or modified
  in any way.
- All wheel arches are not allowed to be sanded and/or widened. 
- A two piece driver interior (vacuum formed with separate drivers head) is to be used.
  Interior has to cover all windows and open cockpits. No chassis parts are allowed to
  be visible. Half sized interiors are allowed and rear window plus both rear side
  windows can be painted black from the inside.
- Body has to feature at least two racing numbers.


CHASSIS
- Plafit Super24 1700 only.
- Chassis has to be adjusted according to the body and its dimensions, making
  sure that all wheels and the guide are covered by the body when viewed from above.
- Chassis set-up has to be done only within its design limits and only with the original
  accessories i.e. changing spring tension or the amount of chassis/body movement etc.
- All original mounting points and basic configuration must be retained.
- No chassis modifications other then within its design limits.
- No soldering allowed to hold motor into position. Only motor screws are to be used.
- Body tape or plastic strip may be used to hold lead wires in place.
- Additional weight may be added as long as it is placed on top of the Chassis,
  Main Frame, Body H Frame or Side Body Holders. 
- Flat body mounts can be used on the chassis in their intended position either as
  additional weight or for body mounting.
- Chassis Stabilizer Set 1717A can be used.
- Traction Magnet 1716 can be removed for non-magnet racing.
- Nylon Guide Nuts can be used.
- Chassis blue-printing is allowed.


GROUND CLEARANCE
- 1.0mm under the entire chassis including gear measured on standard set-up board.
- 0.5mm under the entire chassis including gear measured on magnetic set-up board.


FRONT AXLE
- 3mm solid non-independent only.
- Oilite bushings or ball bearings, can be glued in place.


FRONT WHEELS
- Any 3mm axle diameter Aluminum Wheels. Minimum diameter including tire is 21mm.
- Minimum wheel/tire width is 8mm. No independent front wheels allowed.
- Any black tires, sponge or rubber.
- To retain true-to-scale appearance the wheel diameter is determined by the individual
  wheel arch size of the body used.


REAR WHEELS
- Any 3mm axle diameter Aluminum Wheels. Minimum diameter including tire is 22mm.
- Plafit Black Magic Sponge Tires and Plafit Rubber Tires (labelled) are allowed only.
- Use of Goo and/or any other tire softener, liquids etc. is not allowed. Cleaning with
  Shellite only is permitted.
- To retain true-to-scale appearance the wheel diameter is determined by the individual
  wheel arch size of the body used.
WHEEL INSERTS
- 3D Wheel inserts have to be used on all non-drilled Aluminum Wheels at all times.


REAR AXLE
- 3mm solid only.
- Oilite bushings or ball bearings, can be glued in place.


GEARS
- Any plastic 50 pitch 36T spur gears for 3mm axles.


PINION
- Any 50 pitch 10T plastic or brass.


MOTOR
- Only 13D Plafit 8636 Pointer Motor
- Original lettering “PLAFIT POINTER China” has to be visible.
- Sealed Motors are not to be opened or modified in any way.
- Any lead wire.
