2009 Qld Plafit Championships - 1/32 Group C - Rules |

 BODY - Choice of 4 (Jaguar XJR8, Porsche 956, Porsche 962C and Toyota 89C) 1/32 Lexan bodies as produced by ACE Bodies. - Body to be detailed using decals or stickers to represent a Group C Car from the 80’s or 90’s. - Some freedom here - Toyota as a Lancia, Jaguar as a Nissan etc. - Driver Interior to be fitted. No chassis parts to be visible through windows which must be left clear.
BODY MOUNTING - Plafit Flat Body Mount Plates 3307B, Body Mount Spacers 3307B1 and Extension Plates 3307B2 may be used.
CHASSIS - Plafit 3300 Super32, 3300K and 3300R Super32 “Red Devil” Chassis only. - Chassis has to be adjusted according to the body and its dimensions making sure that the guide and all wheels are covered by the body when viewed from above. - Chassis springs, spacers and/or additional screws may be substituted, added or removed. - All original mounting points and basic configuration must be retained. - No chassis modifications other then within its design limits. - ACE Carbon replacement guide holder can be used. No other Carbon parts allowed. - No soldering permitted to hold motor into position. Only motor screws are to be used. - Body tape or plastic strips may be used to hold lead wires in place. - Additional weight may be added on top of the chassis only. - Nylon Guide Nuts can be used. - Plafit 3301B Main Chassis Plate, 10mm longer may be used. - Plafit Front Axle Bases 3304B (+ 0.5mm), 3304C (+1.0mm) or 3304Z (-0.5mm) may be used. - Plafit 3305B T-Plate 10mm longer may be used. - Plafit Rear Bearing Holders 3309B (+0.5mm), 3309C (+1.0mm) may be used. - Plafit 1717A Stabilizer Kit or part thereof may be used. - Only Plafit 1716 / 3316 Traction Magnets (rectangular and round) are allowed for magnet racing. No re-magnetizing or any aftermarket magnets to be used. - Traction Magnet may be removed on non-magnetized braided tracks. - Chassis blue-printing is allowed.
FRONT AXLE - Any solid 3mm only. No independent front axles/wheels allowed. - 3 x 6mm oilite axle bushings or 3 x 6mm axle ball bearings.
FRONT WHEELS and TIRES - Any Plafit 16mm diameter aluminum wheels which comply with the minimum dimensions may be used. - Any hard sponge (sealed / non-sealed) or rubber tires which comply with the minimum dimensions may be used. - Minimum tire diameter is 18.0mm. - Minimum tire width is 8.0mm. - Wheel Inserts related in design to the actual car have to be used at all times.
REAR WHEELS and TIRES - Any Plafit 16mm diameter aluminum wheels which comply with the minimum and maximum dimensions may be used. - All MJK Rubber Tires which comply with the minimum and maximum dimensions can be used. - Also Plafit 3344M and 3344S Rubber Tires. No other brands allowed. - Plafit 8426BM Sponge Tires only. No other brands allowed. - Minimum wheel/tire diameter with hard rubber and sponge tires is 19.0mm. - Maximum wheel/tire width with hard rubber and sponge tires is 12.0mm. - Use of Goo and/or any other tire softener, liquids etc. is not allowed. Cleaning with Shellite only is permitted. - Wheel Inserts related in design to the actual car have to be used at all times.
REAR AXLE - 3mm solid steel only. - 3 x 6mm oilite axle bushings or 3 x 6mm axle ball bearings.
GROUND CLEARANCE - No general minimum ground clearance as this is determined at each individual track.
GEARS - Only standard plastic 50 pitch spur gear 32 T for 3mm axles (8541B).
PINION - Any 50 pitch plastic or brass.
MOTOR - 13D Plafit 8636 Pointer Motor only. - Original lettering “PLAFIT POINTER China” has to be visible. - All motors are not to be opened or modified in any way. - Any lead wire can be used
